Who We Are Looking For

The projects DEI tackles generally tend to require expertise in some combination of three core technical areas: mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and materials science. We seek top students with undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in these fields who desire a technical career path, and who are motivated, creative, and adaptable. Success at DEI requires the ability and talents necessary to carry out detailed engineering work—but it also demands the skills necessary to understand which of these details are important, and to communicate the results in a format that our clients can understand and apply. The successful DEI engineer also can learn new technical areas quickly and can communicate effectively—both verbally and through thorough but clear technical writing and presentations. Our firm is not for everyone, but most people who join us become long-term employees. For the right person, DEI is an excellent place to build a rewarding, long-term career.
